Meet Your Chemist
Cecilia Garay is a biochemist, educator, and entrepreneur with a deep-rooted passion for science and wellness. As the founder of The Biochemist Lab, a Hallandale Beach-based skincare company specializing in organic and all-natural formulations, Cecilia combines years of clinical, academic, and laboratory expertise with her vision for clean, effective skincare.
Originally from Corrientes, Argentina, Cecilia holds dual degrees in Biochemistry and Chemistry from the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste, where she also served as a university professor and academic researcher. Her extensive experience spans clinical rotations in hospital laboratories, teaching roles in secondary and higher education, and leadership in community science outreach programs. Her knowledge in clinical chemistry, toxicology, pharmacology, and immunology forms the scientific backbone of The Biochemist Lab’s meticulously crafted product line.
Cecilia launched The Biochemist Lab to bridge the gap between science and skincare, offering formulations rooted in biochemistry and powered by nature. Her commitment to purity, transparency, and sustainability is reflected in every product—from ingredient sourcing to formulation and packaging.
In addition to her scientific credentials, Cecilia is a certified Ontological Coach, integrating holistic wellness and leadership principles into both her personal life and business. Multilingual and globally minded, she has participated in international volunteer work and continues to advocate for science education and women's empowerment in STEM.
